Gifted Testing
Does your child display advanced problem-solving skills? Curiosity and creativity? A robust vocabulary? If yes, your child may have an above-average intellect that may benefit from gifted programming within the school district. Gifted evaluations will include all components necessary for school-based eligibility and programing consideration.
There are additional benefits to a gifted evaluation beyond finding out whether or not your child meets the criteria for gifted programming. Dr. Young believes it is important to provide further insight into your child’s intellectual strengths and weaknesses. The discovery of a child’s particular “learning style” and overall approach to learning is directly related to how a child continues to interact with the learning process and continue to demonstrate academic success. If potential areas of growth are identified, Dr. Young will provide recommendations for early intervention and strategies.
