Brooke Wilder
Brooke Wilder is a licensed Occupational Therapist with the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Florida Atlantic University and her Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy at Barry University. Her primary objective is to empower children to reach their full potential through evidence-based practices and individualized care.
Brooke’s professional experience ranges from the school setting to home health and prioritizing each child’s unique needs. Working in pediatrics her whole career, she has worked with a variety of conditions, such as autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, OCD, and various developmental delays. To ensure each child receives the most effective treatment possible, she implements the approach "regulation before expectation.” This approach focuses on regulating and organizing the child’s sensory system prior to them engaging in functional activities.
Her compassion and optimism create a supportive environment conducive to one-on-one therapy sessions. Brooke understands the value of collaborating with families throughout the therapeutic process, which is a critical component for successful pediatric therapy. As an Occupational Therapist, emphasis must be placed on helping children develop the skill sets they need in order to flourish as functional and independent individuals.
When Brooke is not at the clinic, you can catch her walking her dog, Maui, attending pilates classes, or enjoying a delicious meal with her fiance (french fries and sushi all the way!)
